Not good if that data is sold or harvested for other intents. Lookup the issue with Fitbit getting acquired by Google ;-)

I’d love a smart app that could read sensors and provide advice. Think Star Trek Tricorder. I recall a startup about 7 years ago spinning out of NASA Ames in Mountain View (CA). Hard problem to solve but so much value ie. a doctor in every citizens pocket.
