Out of YC one large & popular VC (won’t mention name) took us through this data room process.

I hated it because it consumed around a month of back and forth. Even tho our numbers were great (inc revenue) for a pre-seed stage co.. we didn’t use their keyword “blockchain” lol and so it didn’t end up a deal.

To this day I still recall and grind my teeth over the time this process wasted. We were a 2 man shop back then and the time lost cannot be recouped. :( Data rooms are such a wasteful process pushing an early stage company through such a horrible process.

Lesson learnt tho and I certainly won’t be recommending or visiting that VC again!
